Caregiver Burnout

To help assist family caregivers, there has been a lot of research done. The goal of course is twofold: first to help the caregiver with his or her stress and second to help the senior under their care, for example, helping the older person to live at home for a longer period of time. There is a lot of resources out there: information and referral strategies, support groups, counseling to build coping skills, building a relationship with a psychotherapist, respite time off, but the results are limited and that is why an outside help is needed.
